CONTENT STANDARDS
C.A.R. User Content Standards
We have made the following rules for posting user content so that everyone who attends C.A.R. virtual events can feel safe and welcome. Whether or not you choose to contribute to the discussion in our virtual events (and we hope you do!), we will require every user to agree to follow these rules. Our staff will try to monitor user content to make sure that all users follow these rules at all times during C.A.R. virtual events. We have also reserved some rights, explained below, to make sure that we can provide a fun, safe and professional environment for all our virtual event attendees.
Our rules for user content contributions are as follows:
-
Do not post anything that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable.
-
Do not post or otherwise promote sexually explicit or pornographic material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
-
Do not post anything that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property or other rights of any other person.
-
Do not post sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else, such as social security numbers, account names or passwords, or anything else that violates the legal rights (including the rights of publicity and privacy) of others or contain any material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable laws or regulations or that otherwise may be in conflict with these C.A.R. User Content Standards, our Website Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.
-
Do not post anything that violates federal, state or local law, or that promotes or assists illegal activity. This includes, without limitation, information on commission rates and splits, team splits, or suggestions that members boycott or otherwise not do business with others based on their business model or other competitive bases.
-
Do not post in a way that might upset, embarrass, alarm, or annoy any other person, whether or not that person is also present in the chatroom.
-
Do not impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization. That includes making posts that suggests they come from or are endorsed by C.A.R. or any other person or entity, if that is not the case.
-
Do not promote commercial activities or sales, such as contests, sweepstakes, and other sales promotions, barter, or advertising.
We have the right to remove or prevent any user chat posting for any or no reason in our sole discretion. We also may take any action with respect to a user and any or all of that user’s chat postings that we deem necessary or appropriate in our sole discretion, including if we believe that the user has violated our Website Terms of Use, including these C.A.R. User Content Standards, threatens the personal safety of the public or other users of C.A.R. websites, or could create liability for C.A.R. and its affiliates.
However, we cannot review all material before it is posted and cannot ensure prompt removal of objectionable material after it has been posted. Accordingly, we assume no liability for any action or inaction regarding transmissions, communications, or content provided by any user or third party. We have no liability or responsibility to anyone for performance or nonperformance of the activities described in these rules.
